Raw Mānuka Oil
Included as an active ingredient for its naturally occurring triketones, which give Mānuka oil its antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. It is not added purely for fragrance, although it does impart a clean, herbaceous, fresh aroma.
Our essential oil is produced by a single farmer living on a remote island in Aotearoa, New Zealand, approximately five hours by boat from the mainland. The foliage, leaves, and twigs are hand-harvested every few weeks. After distillation, the remaining plant material is returned to the land as mulch, completing a regenerative cycle.
Mānuka Flowers and Pōhutukawa Powder
Dried Mānuka and Pōhutukawa flowers provide gentle, natural exfoliation, helping to polish and clarify the skin. These flowers are harvested from the same island as our Mānuka oil, a 500-hectare sanctuary of wild Mānuka and coastal Pōhutukawa trees.
Both species flower for only two to six weeks at the beginning of summer. In New Zealand, the flowering of the Pōhutukawa tree traditionally signals the arrival of the season. The Pōhutukawa flowers are handpicked from coastal trees, where they are richest in color. They are dried under the New Zealand sun, a process that can take several weeks depending on the conditions, and then ground by hand into fine powders.
Face + Body Cleansing Protocol
Step 1. Cleanse
Begin by cleansing your face and body with A.M.S Mānuka Honey Botanical Soap. Lather the bar into wet skin to deeply cleanse while gently exfoliating with naturally derived Mānuka and Pōhutukawa flowers. This process helps clarify skin without over-drying, making it suitable for sensitive or problematic skin.
How To:
Moisten your skin with water, then massage the soap directly onto your face and body to create a rich lather. Rinse thoroughly.
Step 2. Double Cleanse
For an extra layer of care, follow with the ACTIVIST Mānuka Honey Mask. Apply to damp skin for a second cleanse, or leave on for 30 minutes as a nourishing mask. Mānuka Honey’s natural enzymes gently break down dead skin cells, promoting a brighter, softer complexion and supporting compromised skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis.
How To:
Apply approximately 2 tsp. of the mask to damp skin, massaging in circular motions. Remove with a warm, damp cloth.
Step 3. Hydrate
After cleansing, towel-dry skin so it remains slightly damp. Apply A.M.S Green Botanical Serum to the face and neck to restore hydration and support skin balance. Nourish the lips with A.M.S Mānuka Honey Lip Balm, then finish by applying A.M.S Green Botanical Body Oil to the body to seal in moisture and support lasting hydration.
How To:
Press a few drops of Green Botanical Serum into the face and neck. Apply a small amount of Mānuka Honey Lip Balm to the lips. Warm 1–2 pumps of Green Botanical Body Oil between your hands and massage over the body.
Step 4. Lymphatic Facial Massage
Enhance circulation and support lymphatic drainage with a gentle facial massage using the ACTIVIST Brass Tube Press as a Gua Sha tool. This simple ritual helps reduce puffiness, encourage healthy skin tone, and improve absorption of your skincare.
How To:
Using light pressure, glide the curved side of the brass tube press across the face in slow, upward and outward motions, beginning at the centre of the face and moving toward the hairline and jaw. Finish with gentle downward strokes along the sides of the neck to support lymphatic flow.
Step 5. Spot Treatment
Finish with Mānuka Essential Oil for any blemishes or areas needing extra support. Its antibacterial and antimicrobial properties help clarify skin without irritation.
How To:
Apply a small amount directly to affected areas on face or body.
