Recipe:

Mānuka Cacao Protein Bites

These are such a staple at home, super easy to make and packed with sneaky fiber and protein in the most natural way. They come together in minutes, no baking needed, and keep well in the fridge for the week. I love having a few on hand for a quick snack, post-movement bite, or something a little sweet that still feels nourishing.

Ingredients

1 cup cooked black beans, rinsed and drained
6–8 soft dates, pitted (adjust for sweetness)
1 tbsp ACTIVIST 850+MGO Raw Mānuka Honey — or more to taste
2 tbsp nut or seed butter — tahini, almond, cashew, or sunflower seed
1 tbsp ground flaxseed
1 tbsp ground chia seeds
2 tbsp hemp seeds (plus extra for rolling)
2 tbsp cacao powder
½ tsp cinnamon
Pinch of sea salt

Method

Add all ingredients to a food processor and blend until smooth and sticky, scraping down the sides as needed.

If the mixture feels too dry, add a small splash of water or a bit more tahini. If it’s too wet, add a spoonful of flax or cacao to firm it up.

Roll into small balls (about 1 tablespoon each).

Coat in hemp seeds, cacao powder, or shredded coconut if you’d like some texture.

Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.

Notes

  • Store in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze for longer.
  • They’re high in fibre, healthy fats, and plant protein, making them perfect as a post-movement snack or mid-afternoon pick-me-up.
