Recipe:

Alice Waters' Mānuka Honey Glazed Carrots

Adapted from an Alice Waters recipe, these honey-glazed carrots show that good carrots need little more than butter, honey, and some time on the stove. Gently simmered and roasted, they’re a vibrant, nourishing side.

Ingredients

6–8 carrots
2 Tbsp orange juice
2 Tbsp ACTIVIST Raw Mānuka Honey
1 Tbsp butter
Salt, to taste
Parsley or dill, for garnish

Method

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Fill a large skillet with 1–2 inches of water and bring to a boil. Add the carrots and enough water to cover them. Simmer until tender but not overcooked. Pour out the water, then add the orange juice, honey, butter, and salt. Stir to combine.

Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 10 minutes. Serve warm, garnished with parsley or dill.
